Mehiläinen to be Finland's largest producer of mental health rehabilitation services

Through an agreement signed on Friday, 18 June 2010, the Mehiläinen Group will acquire Human Care Network (HCN) in the largest transaction ever concluded by the Group. As a result, Mehiläinen will become Finland's largest private provider of mental health rehabilitation services for municipalities and hospital districts.

Mehiläinen Receives Environmental Management Certification

Mehiläinen has been awarded the Environmental Management System certificate, ISO 14001, which encompasses all of Mehiläinen Oy's operations nationwide. The environmental viewpoint has been made a fixed part of Mehiläinen's daily management and everyday activities. In accordance with the environmental certificate granted by Inspecta Certification, Mehiläinen has committed itself to environmentally responsible activities on the principle of continual improvement.

Matti Bergendahl new CEO for Ambea

Matti Bergendahl has been appointed as the new President and CEO of Ambea AB. His most recent role was as Deputy CEO of Ambea and CEO of Mehiläinen Oy, Ambea's Finnish subsidiary. Matti Bergendahl succeeds Ralph Riber, who has chosen to step down as CEO of Ambea.

Transaction with new owner Triton closed - KKR co-investor

Ambea, the leading Nordic healthcare and care company and owner of Mehiläinen, Carema Care and Carema Healthcare, announced on February 23rd that the company was acquired by Triton. Since then Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co (KKR) has joined Triton in its investment in Ambea and the transaction with Triton and KKR closed on March 31.
